Tenerife is the largest and highest of the Canary Islands, a paradise formed from ancient volcanoes and home to Spain's tallest mountain - Mount Teide. Sandy beaches and the clear waters of the Atlantic make this beautiful island one of Europe's top holiday destinations.
Find out for yourself why this island is so special, explore the culture of the friendly and colourful Canarian people and experience the activities on offer - from nature spotting and hiking, to nightclubbing and water sports.
The island has such a diversity of places to see and things to do that there is something for everyone on a Tenerife holiday. The perfect climate and stunning scenery ensure visitors return to Tenerife year after year.

Tenerife's latest attraction and a truly unique experience
As you enter a magnificent gateway into a world of adrenalin filled water rides and spectacular scenery, you will discover Siam Park, a water kingdom and beach club for the whole family. Designed as a little piece of Siam, with mature gardens and water features as well as the many unique water ride experiences, a children's adventure land and a white sand beach make Siam Park a truly exotic and exciting experience. Animal lovers will be delighted at the sea lions, crocodiles and massive children's jungle park whilst excitement seekers can top up with adrenaline on the 28 metre high "kamikaze".
There is also a stunning white sand beach with artificial waves for surfers, death defying "tornado" rides as well as more sedate slow river rides for those that just want to sit back and enjoy the lush vegetation.
Tropical bird park and zoo, one of the most popular attractions in Tenerife
Over the years this wonderful park has turned into one of the biggest tourist attractions in the Canary Islands. During this time, the parrot collection has become the biggest and most unique in the world. Not only have the parrots found their home here, the doors have been opened to countless other animals including gorillas, dolphins, penguins and sea lions.
Aqualand Costa Adeje is a perfect combination of leisure and entertainment. This is the only Water Park and Dolphinarium in Tenerife and is situated in the sun-kissed south of the island. The top water attractions are the Kamikaze, Super Slalom, Twister, Anaconda, Crazy Race and Mini Park.
The deep warm waters of the Canary Islands are home to a multitude of marine life with whales and dolphins being top of the list for sightseers.
Experience these gentle mammals first hand on one of the whale and dolphin trips that leave daily from the bustling port of Los Cristianos. Don't forget your camera.
Declared a national park in 1954, the Parque Nacional de las Cañadas del Teide includes an enormous volcanic crater 48 km in circumference, out of which rises Mount Teide (pronounced the same as Lady) at a staggering 3.718 metres, making it the highest mountain in the whole of Spain. The park itself lies at around 2000 metres above sea level and in winter snow falls, gale winds blow and the roads are sometimes closed off.
Situated in an imposing gorge on the north west of the island, the village of Masca is generally considered to be Tenerife's prettiest village. The old stone houses look out over lush vegetation and improbably steep ravine walls towards the shimmering Atlantic Ocean. This remote outpost was only connected to the rest of the island when a road was built in 1991 and it is hard to imagine why the area was settled in the first place.
History and Mystery. Ancient pyramids or agricultural artifacts? You decide on this fascinating trip to the heritage site at Guimar.
Icod de los Vinos is home to the 1,000 year old Drago Milenario or Dragon Tree. The exact age of this famous monster is unknown, but it is certainly the oldest of its kind in existence, and at over sixteen metres tall and with a girth of six metres it is undoubtedly the largest. The much-photographed view of the tree is from the lushly vegetated Plaza de la Iglesia which hosts the beautiful 16th century Church of St Mark.
In spite of its fearsome name 'Hells Gorge', this lush green ravine is an oasis in the harsh and arid south Tenerife landscape. It is the only location you will find natural running water. The walk there and back takes only three hours and at some points within the deep ravine it sometimes grows quite dark and cool. The walk ends at a waterfall that is an unexpected feature in such a dry landscape.
The Anaga Mountains constitute an extensive protected area of high ecological value. These beautiful mountains boast a wide botanical wealth not found anywhere else in the whole archipelago. A spectacular trip leads up the 'Barranco de Las Huertas' to cross the Anaga range, where you will have the chance to enjoy breathtaking views over the craggy north coast.
Great Knight Out!
Return to the days of chivalry and honour as you take your seat at this medieval banquet. Watch knights jousting before the entertainment becomes more glitzy with the fabulous Drifters performing their hits from the 60's and 70's.
What better way to view a magnificent sunset and the stars at night from one of the highest points in the whole Spanish Territory. Spend an evening exploring the vast crater and slopes of Tenerife's Mount Teide before enjoying a fabulous four course dinner.
